Obama alleged dognapper faces weapons charge

A US man who allegedly plotted to kidnap one of the Obama family's pet Portuguese water dogs has been arrested with guns and ammunition at a downtown Washington hotel and is facing a weapons charge.

The man, Scott Stockert, 49, of Dickinson, North Dakota, first came to the attention of the Minnesota field office of the US Secret Service, which learned of his intention to kidnap Bo or Sunny, the Obamas' two dogs, the Washington Post reported.

When Stockert drove his pickup truck from North Dakota to Washington, Secret Service officers located him at a Hampton Inn near the Convention Centre in downtown Washington, close to both the White House and the Capitol building, it said.

Agents found a 12-gauge shotgun and a .22-calibre rifle in Stockert's vehicle, along with 350 rounds of ammunition, a 30cm machete and a billy club, the Post reported.

It's conceivable he calculated if caught, intention to kidnap a dog might "explain" the weaponry, and not get him executed as if he admitted to intentions to harm the President or any his family members.

I think he probably thinks he hates the President and wanted to be a hero to the filthy dirtbags among us. I think it's actually very likely he's lying about the dogs, and using the dogs as a smokescreen to conceal his hope to harm the human Obamas.

And to harm the dog would likely cause pain and suffering to the family, especially the Obama girls. People harm other people's pets all the time to "get back at them" in some way. They are really sick fucks.
