Alabama sues federal government over Syrian refugees

Source: Reuters

Alabama officials sued the U.S. federal government on Thursday over concerns about the placement of refugees from Syria and other countries, the state's governor said in a news release.

The lawsuit filed in federal court in Alabama claims the Obama administration had not provided state officials with enough information about any refugees to be settled in the state.

Republican Governor Robert Bentley moved to bar Syrian refugees from the state after the Nov. 13 attacks in Paris for which the group Islamic State claimed responsibility.

The people I know at the neighborhood and community level, out here in the sticks, are all very sweet and nice, which means anything rotten they do I have not yet heard about.
tho we did run off 2 renters who brought their mangy ways into our neighborhood.
One of them was from Fla, so what else could we expect, ya know?
The other one was a bullying cop who had been fired from our force but got hired by another county.
He moved after 9 months, thankfully.

Between this and the marriage equality mess yesterday, they might roll out a new state slogan: Alabama is for Haters.

much more forthcoming about our process of accepting refugees. I doubt any of these morons understand that single men aren't even eligible for the program. I'm sure they're just looking at what happened in Germany on New Years Eve and think that's what's in store for downtown Montgomery.

xenophobic imbeciles. They're beyond hope. But it will calm the nerves of independents who simply don't know the policies.
