IS leader urges uprising in Saudi, attacks in Israel: recording

Source: AFP

Beirut (AFP) - Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the secretive leader of the Islamic State group, called for an uprising in Saudi Arabia and pledged to attack Israel, in an audio recording released Saturday and attributed to him.

The 24-minute recording would be Baghdadi's first in seven months, during which IS has been dealt several blows in Iraq and Syria.

There was no way for AFP to authenticate that it was Baghdadi speaking, but the voice appeared to match previous recordings of him.

And it was not clear when the recording was made, but it referred to a 34-nation anti-IS coalition announced by Saudi Arabia on December 15.

That's how they got their idiot jihadis all riled up against him.

Maybe they're finally turning against the hand that fed them.

That would be ironic.

for regime change? I always thought the whole Syrian govt is supporting or cuddling ISIS was only meant for western consumption. How are they going to turn against the Saudi and American friends? whose going to give em the ammo for the TOWs now?

This is just talk, they are never going to turn against anything. With Russia in the mix now, the only hope for ISIS now will be some UN brokered seize fire so they can escape to safety.

I stumbled onto a pro-Caliphate group on Facebook a few years ago.

They were told that Assad was commiting atrocities and that America and Israel were supporting him. That's why they wanted to go to Syria.

Bear in mind that the Isis freaks are idiots, knuckledraggers who don't know anything about politics, history or religion. They believed whatever their handlers told them.

Really, who would take over if the Saudi royal family were purged tomorrow?
I dont have ANY idea. And if worse people took over, they've got quite an arsenal at their disposal. They may attack Israel, which would be a mistake.
Who knows?

First, if they do attack Israel, there are those who already think Israel and ISIS are in cahoots, so an attack would immediately be defined as "false flag." Second, an attack on Israel which would lead to an all out assault would likely be sidelined, like most Israeli movements in the area when multi-national forces are in the region. Sporadic movements are usually encouraged and/or ignored, but an all out assault would not get any support at all. Third, an assault on Israel would please many people, including terrorists and any reprisal would be seen as a "hostile" move by Israel and any "goodwill" from Arab nations would erode. Finally, barring a major, massive assault, few would give two shits if Israel is hit.
