Mother hits back after Trump calls 10-year-old’s question to Clinton ’staged’

By Lisa Hagen

..................The real estate mogul tweeted Wednesday, “The Hillary Clinton staged event yesterday was pathetic. Be careful Hillary as you play the war on women or women being degraded card.”

But Hannah’s mother, Lexie Tandy, pushed back at Trump’s claim, saying her daughter wasn’t prompted to ask the question. She also said she wasn’t in attendance because she didn't know Hannah planned to participate.

“I don’t want to get in a big match-up with Donald Trump, but let me tell you, I will be in one if he makes comments about my daughter,” Tandy said, according to The Des Moines Register. “She’s 10. She’s just a little girl.”

Following Trump’s Wednesday tweet, the three students who invited Clinton to visit the school also hit back at Trump, responding on Twitter, “Sorry @realDonaldTrump, you can't stage passion & determination of young people. Also, @ us next time. #StopBullying.”.............

How stupid can Trump get? I am glad the mother spoke up. Trump would be more stupid if he hits back. We will see.

10-year-old moves Clinton with question about bullying

Updated 9:26 AM ET, Wed December 23, 2015 | Video Source: CNN

Story highlights

"What are you going to do about bullying?" a 10-year-old girl asked Clinton Tuesday
Clinton was clearly moved by the question

Keota, Iowa (CNN.....................

"I have asthma and occasionally I hear people talking behind my back," said Hannah, a fifth-grader eliciting "awws" and applause from the audience and a long hug from the former first lady.

The question was personal for Hannah, who told CNN after the event that she knows her asthma and medicine to control the ailment makes some of her classmates uncomfortable.........................

She added, "I just thought, there are a lot of kids out there who are getting bullied way worse than I am and it should stop."

Clinton was clearly moved by the question. While she sometimes responds to voters with non-emotional pragmatism, Clinton's voice cracked when she spoke with her young questioner.

"Bullying has always been around but it seems to have gotten somehow easier and more widespread because of social media and the Internet," Clinton said. "People can say something about somebody without having to look them in the eye or see them walk by, and so I think we all need to be aware of the pain and the anguish that bullying can cause."..................

RUSH LIMBAUGH: {...} Hillary Clinton is perceived to be a victim. She's always playing the victim card. She's always whining about being a woman, or making a point of being a woman -- as though that's somehow an obstacle and it's punishing in our unfair society. And as a way of equalizing it, everybody covering her also happens to be female.

I don't trust Clinton one iota, but she doesn't "play victim" any more than any other politician. Probably less than most. And the gender card? If anything she under emphasizes being a woman relative to the amount of sexism that is thrown her way.

If you think you see Clinton "using the gender card" excessively, and you feel like a thread about Trump attacking a bullied 10 year old is the right place to express that concern, then maybe you're the one with the problem.

As a fellow Sanders supporter, I think you should just fuck off with that shit.
