(1,192 posts)Plenty of ISIS targets in Syria, and Israel goes in there to attack Hezbollah.

(11,619 posts)Doesn't surprise me they would take down an important target of opportunity.

(3,829 posts)which fortunately they were successful at doing.
Now Israel, a supporter of al Qaeda in Syria, murders a member of Hezbollah that is fighting ISIS.

(3,967 posts)Hezbollah continues to fight Israel long after Israeli troops withdrew from Lebanon.
Kuntar is a life long Jew murdering monster, and is, er, was, the key person for setting up another war with Israel.
Do Druze martyrs get 72 virgins? LOL.

(1,333 posts)had a Viagra rape army and Iraqi army threw babies out from the incubators and so on and so forth. These stories seems to be pulled out of disney villain stories. Not saying it is not possible but what evidence is there to verify the authenticity of these accusations?
Regardless of whether you believe the atrocity story or not, Israel is easing the problems of ISIS in Syria one air strike at a time. ISIS a group we actually have video evidence of them committing loads of heinous atrocities. But I understand, Israel has to do whats in her best interest and that is killing their enemies.

(58,724 posts)Here is an excerpt from the judge's ruling:
Kuntar went over to Einat Haran and hit her head twice with the butt of his rifle, with the intent of killing her...the other defendant also struck her head forcefully. As a result of the blows, Einat suffered skull fractures and fatal brain damage, causing her death.

You can read and analyze all of the evidence presented during the Samir Kuntar trial. All of the court documents are available online if you are interested in perusing them.

(1,333 posts)I read his account of what happened and I actually find it to be more believable. I believe he took the 4 yr old hostage also as a safety net to prevent the security forces from killing his ass. It makes very little sense that he would kill his his hostage before escaping and in the way he did in front of his father.
Immediately following his capture, when his remand was extended, Kuntar confessed that he had bludgeoned Einat to death with the butt of his rifle.[1] Later, however, when testifying in court, Kuntar denied the charges. In his testimony, Kuntar asserted that Israeli gunfire had killed Danny Haran as soldiers burst in to free him, and that he did not see what happened to Einat after passing out from blood lost from five bullet wounds.[1][9] He explained that the group's goal had been to take hostages back to Lebanon, and that he had taken the 4-year-old to prevent Israeli police from shooting at them
But the point still stands that the Israelis are doing a real solid to the ISIS fighters who Hezbollah and the Syrian army are fighting with every air strike on them. At least if you gonna attack the people fighting ISIS, just drop one bomb on ISIS too.

(3,967 posts)Actually, I guess you could say that is what just happened too. Anyway, Hezbollah has more in mind than fighting ISIS. Maybe this fellow's demise won't make much of a difference in the fight with ISIS.
Wonder why Russia was cool with it.

(1,333 posts)But I can say that anyone fighting ISIS cannot be that much of a bad guy. My objection is with the twirling mustache bad guy portrayal of people we don't like from the ME and Israel interference in the Syrian war

(3,967 posts)He was in charge of working with Iran to build a terrorist network in the Golan Heights to conduct attacks on Israel. This seems independent of Syria war, except for the fact that Hezbollah and Iran are using it as an opportunity to gain a foothold on a new border with Israel.
If Israel killed him - and they have not yet said anything to that effect - it was to slow this activity, and not an act of revenge (even though no one in Israel is mourning his death). If Israel had wanted revenge, they had him for 30 years. Looking at the report of his earlier terror activity, it seems far more likely that he is the one who bludgeoned the four year old girl to death on the rocks with his rifle than that one of the Israelis at the scene did it. He really is, er, was a twirling mustache bad guy.
