50 Homes Damaged After Tornadoes Hit Texas

Source: Associated Press

At least 50 homes were damaged by a tornado in northeast Texas on Saturday afternoon, according to reports, with chances of more twisters on Sunday.

Forecasters were still trying to determine the strength of the tornado that touched down around 4 p.m. in Lindale, about 90 miles southeast of Dallas. No injuries were reported, according to NBC Dallas-Fort Worth, but mayor Robert Nelson issued a disaster declaration.

"We saw these clouds and these little tornadoes that were shooting down and then one hit the ground. We saw it hit the ground," said witness Melissa Malone.

About 40 miles to the north a tornado touched down in Willis, according to forecasters.

Only pointing out the irony they often miss: talking about acts of treason and hate for the federal government but the first to hold out their hands for federal money when it benefits them, against it when it benefits others.

I used to live in Texas (Frisco) and still have friends there so I don't wish ill on them at all. Just pointing out the irony and ignorance of the teapublican state government (which would have to have sanctioned the vote for it to pass since they are the leaders of the state party).

Yeah, BTW that was last week's news and the Texas Senate shot it down so find something else to hate on.

The teapublicans in Texas? Are we defending the Texas GOP on DU now?
Am I morally superior to a teapublican? Even on my worst day, everyday.
Reread what I wrote. My post was the irony of yet more secessionist talk from Texas teapublicans who talk all that stupid shit yet never miss the chance to take from the federal government when it benefits them and never miss an opportunity to ridicule those in need for political gain.

The link I posted has to do with the state GOP, for a non-binding party vote in March. What would the state senate have to do with that?

Lastly, I lived in Texas (Frisco) so I know how the state works and still have friends who live there.

There's never any shortage of Texas hatred around this place. And spare us any further "What I really meant was" tap-dancing, OK?

My last sentence states:
"Wonder how many secession-hungry party loyalist will be filling FEMA claims?
How is that "Texas hating" or what I really meant tap dancing???
I didn't insult all people from Texas, only secessionist teapublicans. Not sure what is hard to understand about that sentence but I copied and bolded in this post twice, once above and as my last sentence here:
"Wonder how many secession-hungry party loyalist will be filling FEMA claims?"

Still whining how much they hate the Federal government, while collecting SS and receiving Medicare.
I know full well I live in a Houston suburb. Ron Paul's old district, the Galveston area.

Your post is demonstrable false.

1) I gave no "blanket hit on those tornado victims" the comments you stand by, as my comments were limited to "secession-hungry party loyalist will be filling FEMA claims"
That is a very limited scope group of people.

2) you stated, "And spare us any further "What I really meant was" tap-dancing, OK?"
That is demonstrable false as I did no such thing. I copied and pasted what I typed. No need to "tap dance" as it is very unambiguous.

Conclusion:
You are either trolling me or just having a bad day and wanting to spread it around. Either way I don't care. I stated what I stated very clearly. That you don't understand or don't want to is your issue, not mine.
