(61,914 posts)You're absolutely right about how far T.rump has gone out on a limb, leftynyc.
Just as important, The Donald lacks the temperament to be a national leader.

(17,209 posts)Who'd a thunk that the Donald would be too extreme even for Bibi?

(26,060 posts)it, I immediately went to find a second source. It sounded so unbelievable.

(25,699 posts)'Cause... well... Israel likes to prevent entry by Muslims too. And Bibi's probably MORE extreme than Trump in most relevant regards.
But somewhere in that ice cream-filled head of his, Netanyahu understands that Trump ain't going to be the next president. So he's jumping onto the side opposite Trump, even if it's blatantly hypocritical.

(26,060 posts)I was more talking about what THEY would say to HIM. I have no idea what their history is but I can tell you I, and many other Jews, hear words like "that group is a problem", "we have to keep them out", we have to throw them out" and chills go up our spines. A few short decades ago, the same things were being said about us.

(23,134 posts)you are certainly at the very extreme fringe. Indeed, Trump's so far right he's off the planet.

(47,498 posts)Was cheered when he questioned Obama's "origin" and then booed when he questioned Israeli's commitment to peace, also when he said that the "Jews could not buy him.."
I suspect that this event was a factor, too.

(26,060 posts)would boo the suggestion that Jews are looking to buy people. It feeds right into some ugly stereotypes.
