COLORADO SPRINGS - Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs is no longer on lockdown, the hospital confirms.

According to the Penrose, the lockdown was due to a security concern.

Colorado Springs Police responded and resolved the situation, and they say the hospital is safe.

Neither the hospital or police have said what the security concern was.

Penrose Main Hospital, where several victims of Friday's Planned Parenthood shooting are, is located at 2222 N. Nevada Ave.

Some employees inside Penrose Main Hospital took to Twitter and Facebook searching for information after a reported “code silver” announcement was issued, according to KSNV.

A “code silver” indicates “a hostage/weapon/security situation” according to a Colorado Hospital Association Council of Quality Professionals document.
