Venezuela president Maduro's nephews negotiate deal to plead guilty for drug trafficking

TRANSLATION:

The nephews of the Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro who were arrested by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for trying to sell 800 kilos of cocaine are negotiating an agreement with federal prosecutors of the Southern District of New York, which would commit to providing more details on the chavista ties to drug trafficking.

Sources familiar with the situation told the Herald that the defendants requested a new two-week postponement of the next court hearing, where Efrain Flores and Francisco Campo Antonio Flores de Freitas - nephews of Venezuelan first lady, Cilia Flores - will be declared guilty or innocent.

According to sources, the postponement of the hearing was requested to finish negotiating with the prosecutors the defendants' admission of guilt, which would be accompanied by the provision of the accused to provide details and evidence on the operation of drug trafficking to which they belonged, and the prosecutor will recommend to the judge that a sentence be issued which is substantially lower than what would correspond if convicted at trial.
The judge approved the postponement and the hearing was set for Thursday, December 17, according to court documents.

Wonder what big secrets these boys are ready to spill. It's all the more confirmed that they were in this business considering that Maduro and his "first combatant" have not said a single word regarding this case. It's almost like they do not even wish to acknowledge that these boys are their relatives. Chavismo is crumbling down under its own pathetic incompetence and rampant corruption. We'll see what happens after they lose miserably in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
