IS member sought by Sweden now under arrest

UPDATED: Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) reported Thursday morning that a young man currently believed to be posing a terrorist threat to Sweden may have fled to Norway. The IS member was instead arrested at Boliden in Västerbotten in northeast Sweden Thursday night.
Norwegian authorities reportedly were helping their Swedish counterparts in the hunt for Mutar Muthanna Majid. Some Muslims in Norway told NRK that they’d been contacted by Norwegian police, and warned that Majid is dangerous and may be in Norway. The Iraqi citizen in his mid-20s is believed to have fought for IS in Syria and has some ties to Sweden.
On Wednesday both Denmark and Sweden raised their terror alarms, with Swedish authorities confirming they were searching for a suspected terrorist based on “concrete intelligence” warning of a possible terrorist attack.
Norway’s police intelligence unit PST has not raised its terror threat level but has confirmed an increase in “preparedness,” with more coordinated investigations and preventative measures taken in cooperation with local police.
