(17,086 posts)Some of the victims were from Maine.
Anderson County Sheriff Greg Taylor called it the largest murder scene he's ever seen, calling it "shocking."
Carl's wife, Cynthia Johnson, who witnessed the attack, is the only survivor of a party of seven campers and was held in protective police custody overnight Sunday. Her son, Erik Johnson of Farmington, flew to Texas Monday to be with her.
According to the Johnson family, the bodies of Carl Johnson, 77, and his daughter Hannah Johnson were found Sunday morning. Police declined to name the Johnsons, but said two bodies were found at 7 a.m. Sunday after the sole survivor Cynthia Johnson was able to make her way to a main road and call 911.
In addition to Johnson and his daughter, Hannah Johnson's 6-year-old son Kade Johnson, Hannah's boyfriend Thomas Kamp, and Kamp's two oldest children were killed, according to Johnson's family.
The bodies of Kamp and the children were found in a pond at 1:15 p.m. Monday after police searched nearby property belonging to William Mitchell Hudson, 33, of County Road 2217.

(33,345 posts)the campsite was NEXT to the killer's residence? no information on the relationship of the killer and the family.
I have assumptions on what that will turn out to be, as well as the method employed, but speculation is a no-no when we're talking about mass killings. so i'll wait.

Because they fear for their life.
A person knocking on their door after dark needs to be shot because the coward fears for their life.
The brown child looked at them scary and turned up the music when ordered him to turn it down.
Putting the gun-humper coward in FEAR.
