One of Several Passengers Kicked Off Spirit Airlines Flight Claims Racial Discrimination

Source: ABC News

Several travelers were kicked off a Spirit Airlines flight preparing to leave Los Angeles for Dallas on Monday, and at least one of the passengers claims it was due to racial discrimination.

The incident began shortly after 7 p.m., when Spirit Airlines called Los Angeles Airport Police to assist with an unruly passenger, LAX Police spokesman Robert Pedregon told ABC News.

LAX police arrived at the plane and found a man, traveling with a woman, who refused to deplane, police said.

Passenger Alexandra Wright said via-Skype that, "It started by a guy having a seating issue with someone."

We (white people) are told every day that you (black people) are all in gangs, smoke crack, steal each other's welfare checks, and say mother effer too much. Our only recourse is to send the police to shoot you. What else can you expect us to do? Treat you as individual human beings, worthy of respect and consideration? Hah!

They're the only airline I know of that embraces the reputation of having poor service.

...smaller planes. The next time (years after that) ..the planes were larger. I don't remember any hassles though.

I was walking down the catwalk thing to the plane and we all had to stop because some old lady was yelling. Pissed off that there was no more room in the overhead bins for her carry-on...

She was cussing, saying it was bullshit to check her bag blah blah blah...

They tried to reason with her for a couple minutes and finally said-

Look, either we check your bag, or you take your bag and walk back to the terminal. NOW- You Pick!

Stupid ass realized she better walk her ass on the plane

I'll just say, I've been flying for about 32 years and it takes a lot for police to become involved...just keep in mind it is against Federal law to interfere with the operation of an aircraft or not comply with crew instructions.

Arguing, physically threatening to the aircraft, passengers or crew...they are out of there.

One other observation...we are back to pre 9/11 as far as arguing, disruptive, non-compliance. That to me is concerning because it had really reached an intolerable level when 9/11 happened...just say'n.

"...one gentleman on the verge of tears saying he was only getting off the plane because the cop needed a reason to shoot him."

What have we become that some of our citizens think this way any time a leo is around? Those who trash #BLM should be ashamed as they walk around in their white skin never having to think a cop might shot them over any minor thing.
