Hillary Clinton Increases Her Lead Over Bernie Sanders

Source: NBC News

Hillary Clinton has increased her dominant lead within the Democratic Party's presidential contest, now besting rival Sen. Bernie Sanders by a margin of two to one among primary voters in the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. But the Democratic front-runner remains unpopular with the general electorate, and fewer than a third of Americans give her high marks for being honest and straightforward.

In the new poll, conducted October 25-29, 62 percent of Democrats chose Clinton as their top choice to win their party's presidential nomination, while 31 percent picked Sanders. Former Maryland governor Martin O'Malley received just three percent support.

That's up from Clinton's 25-point lead earlier in October, 58 percent to 33 percent.

...snip...

Among swing voters, the share who say they are not satisfied with her response to the Benghazi controversy has plummeted from 84 percent at the beginning of October to 40 percent now, although only about a quarter - 23 percent - are satisfied.

But should we really believe a "NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll"? The corporations and wall street want us to believe in the inevitable election of Hillary Rodham Clinton. I still will wait until we hit the first caucus and primary states before I stop believing in the power of the people.

The election is a year away so it could change significantly. However, the facts are the facts and at this juncture Hillary is far ahead. Just hope and pray that a Democrat prevails because so much is stake. I am somewhat taken back by the extensive criticism of Clinton and hope that it doesn't translate into Democrats not showing up at the polls and backing the Democratic Party's candidate. I remain committed to voting for who ever is the Party's candidate and hope that Party loyalty is foremost. I consider everyone of the Republican candidates to be absolutely unqualified to lead the nation and no match for any of the Democratic Party candidates.

All I was trying to say is IF Bernie was kicking her ass in the debates, MORE debates would always be better, because Bernie still has about 30% of the people that don't know much, if anything about him. More exposure for him the better. The MSM isn't helping him there.

"But the Democratic front-runner remains unpopular with the general electorate"

No politician in Washington DC is popular in this environment of 3 parties (Democrats, Republicans and Independents)

But she is more popular than the rest:

Obama 44
Clinton 40
Carson 37
Sanders 34
Republicans 29
Trump 27
Rubio 26
Cruz 23
Ryan 23
Jeb Bush 19

So if she is so unpopular what does that make the rest especially Trump

The take-away from all these polls is that NO politician in America is POPULAR because no PARTY is POPULAR. I'm sure a lot of her negative scores are coming from Sanders votes who have no viable alternative but to vote for Clinton in the general election

We were told to wait until after the first debate. OK, we waited.
We were told to see what happens to Hillary after the Benghazi hearings. OK, we saw.

Now we're hearing whining because "nobody polled me."
Now we're being told to just wait until those with no land lines vote.
Now we're being told just wait until Bernie unloads on Hillary.

He will not be the Democratic nominee. Even if Hillary was not in the running, the nomination would go to someone else. Sanders is an Independent, a self described "Democratic Socialist" and will be 75 years old on election day.

This country is not ready to elect a Socialist for president. Let alone one who would be in his mid 70s when he started his presidency. I have nothing against Sanders and I'm glad that he is in the race, but he will not be the nominee. The only way I see Sanders winning would be if something catastrophic happens to Hillary's campaign. A big if.........
