JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) Tri-Cities supporters of democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders had a chance to feel the Bern this weekend.
Members of the Bernie 2016 campaign team stopped in Johnson City for a volunteer rally and conference Sunday as part of a five city tour across the state of Tennessee.
Campaign leaders said they made the stop to garner volunteer support from the Tri-Cities region, because they feel Northeast Tennessee will play a key role in the election.
We are going to be canvassing we are going to be using voter contact tools and the idea is to help them be prepared to win this election, said Corbin Trent, National Campaign Coordinator for Bernie 2016.

Might as well read, 'He hasn't got a chance, so we're campaigning for Senator Sanders in Bermuda.'

(99,780 posts)She inherited an existing 50 state two election political machine from the BIG DOG. I saw it in person at the IA caucus. She was a convincing third place finisher. INVINCIBLE!
In this story I see 2016 Bernie uses some of Obama's 08 tricks. Play the long ball in 50 states because even red states have delegates. Even D voters in the sticks select a county delegate that goes to the state convention, and some beyond that if you know what I mean.
IF Hillary isn't willing to go the distance with a machine against a newbie with no political national machine at his disposal and less $, history could repeat itself.
That is what I see in this story.
Then some people could be crying over reading the onion.
Back in my happy place after a short time away.
