Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement reached, sources say

Source: CBC

An agreement has been reached on the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal, according to officials familiar with the lengthy negotiations, Reuters reported Monday.

The sweeping pact, which was finalized after marathon negotiating sessions in Atlanta, will cut trade barriers and set common standards for the 12 Pacific Rim countries involved. For a short time over the weekend, it looked as though the deal might have had to be abandoned as some of the trade ministers involved were preparing to head to an upcoming G20 meeting in Turkey.

Conservative Leader Stephen Harper, who is scheduled to campaign in Richmond Hill, Ont., this morning, has delayed his trip to speak to media about the deal in Ottawa.

The deal was initially expected to be concluded by last Friday following two days of final negotiations. The haggling, however, ended up dragging on for three more days that included multiple all-night sessions...

1. Stop it in congress.

or

2. Stop it internationally like what happened with ACTA for example.

It's not over yet. We can still stop it although it will be difficult.

7. What about global international protests in every hall, in every legislature, all of the globe?

TPP will not go into affect unless it is ratified by every country that signed off because if I recall correctly that is what it was with ACTA and I imagine it is the same deal here. I know global protests brought ACTA burning to the ground. I know this because I protested it online and got the word out about it back whenever it threatened the internet. Make no mistake about it that TPP is worse than ACTA and TPP needs to die in a fire. I think international action could bring it down although it will be rather difficult.

There are those who labor to create a better world with the one life they are given and there are those who labor for Wall St.

When one wonders how we all could have fallen so far, so fast, one need look no further than the nearest shareholder. We live in the most democracy they will allow.

or maybe taken down and replaced with a flag of a dollar sign on a field of billionaires.

Somehow this seems a fitting end to a weekend that starts with a mass murder.

She might SAY she opposes it, but only AFTER the votes have been locked in. Her banker masters will understand, that her public opposition is for show only.
