Perjury charges added in case of Georgia man's jail death

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) Perjury charges have been added against two former sheriff's deputies facing trial in the case of a Georgia inmate who died after being shocked with a stun gun while strapped in a restraining chair.
The Savannah Morning News reports (http://bit.ly/1K8tG1w ) new indictments returned Wednesday charge Cpl. Jason Kenny and Cpl. Maxine Evans with lying to a grand jury about the death of 21-year-old Mathew Ajibade (ah-jih-BAH-dee).
Kenny and Evans already face a trial Oct. 5 on involuntary manslaughter charges.
Ajibade died at the Chatham County jail after fighting with deputies Jan. 1. Prosecutors say Kenny shocked him with the stun gun.
