Millis police and fire units were already out in force at the time after a threatening phone call was made to Millis Middle School, the school confirmed late Wednesday afternoon.

The threat wasn't immediately believed to related, but all Millis public schools were locked down and then evacuated a "possible" bomb threat was phoned in, the Millis Monitor, a local news site, reported.

From the OP link, there was a bomb threat at a school, and the police were on patrol...how is this treating anyone like an army of occupation?

Is there a story I'm missing here?

The children at the school whom the officers were there to protect from a possible bomb threat?

If you ridiculously believe that all local police are some adversarial occupying army, you best be prepared for a war you will not, and should not win, and where the vast, vast majority of the population, even in very blue Massachusetts, will overwhelmingly support law enforcement against nihilistic zealots who explicitly or implicitly excuse violence against police who are properly doing their jobs.

I would alert on it, but I would rather it hang there like the wretched hate filled rag that it is, so that everyone at DU can get a whiff of what you stand for.

Enjoy your stay.
