(3,366 posts)He was truly a warm soul, an ascended spirit. My shelves are full of his books. What a great loss. This one is making me cry.

(29,414 posts)I'll have to get it out again and read more (never did finish reading it.) He had such a good way with words, a natural teacher.
Pass gently, Wayne.

(22,380 posts)Wayne Dyer has contributed greatly to my life. I have many of his books and tapes from when I really needed them to help me with my spiritual growth through the years. This will be a great loss to many, one of them his close friend and collaborator Deepak Choprah.
RIP Dr. Dyer

(20,209 posts)The specials he had during fund drives on PBS helped them raise $250 Million. Quite a legacy.

(14,881 posts)I still have Your Erroneous Zones, Pulling Your Own Strings, and some of your other books on my bookshelf. Your PBS specials are one of the few tv programs I miss...

(31,935 posts)his belief in a "creator" was always a turnoff, as was his whole philosophy that happiness is a choice (using positivity to buck clinical depression). I've never seen that actually work for anyone for more than a very brief stretch of time, including among his many fans that I know personally, but they keep trying. He was the perfect all American self help guru; pull yourself up by your own bootstraps, if you can dream it, you can do it, the only thing stopping you is you, you are 100% the cause of any suffering or unhappiness you experience, etc. etc. It's no surprise that he was as beloved as he is in the U.S.A., and probably always will be.

(4,651 posts)so this is a great loss for me, it seems it gave a seminar just a few days ago and had more on his schedule. His legacy is astounding with all the lives he has touched through his books, CDs, PBS specials, radio, and seminars.
At least his passing was peaceful.
