Trump Camp On 'White Power' Shouts At Rally: People Like Our Message

Real estate mogul Donald Trump's presidential campaign said Sunday that it wasn't aware of an individual who reportedly yelled "white power" at a rally for the candidate.
Self-styled "white nationalists" from all over the far-right spectrum have been drawn to Trump's hardline immigration stance this election cycle. CNN's Jim Acosta asked Trump's campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, about reports that a man yelled "white power" multiple times Friday at the rally in Mobile, Alabama:
"I don't know about the individual you're talking about in Alabama," Lewandowski said on "State of the Union." "I know there were 30-plus thousand people in that stadium. They were very receptive to the message of 'making America great again' because they want to be proud to be Americans again."
Lewandowski's answer echoed his boss' initial response to a hate crime that occurred last week in Boston and was apparently inspired by his anti-immigrant rhetoric. Trump said that he wasn't aware of the attack and immediately pivoted to praising his supporters' "passion," before using stronger language to condemn the beating two days later.

He even has folks who fancy themselves as his brownshirts, as we saw over the weekend with the guys behind the beating.
What Trump is peddling is quite dangerous, and the fawning, starstruck media that keeps giving him endless airtime is being highly irresponsible.

(43,049 posts)obvious bullshit like the alleged 30,000 people when no more than 20,000 were there (and most of them just curious and looking for a good show on a slow weekend)
And the proper answer to the white power shout out isn't "I don't know" but "We looked for it on the tapes and couldn't find it, but if it did happen it was wrong." Unless they did find it on the tapes-- then it's still wrong.

"Donald Trump is telling the truth and people don't always like that," said Donald Kidd, a 73-year-old retired pipe welder from Mobile. "He is like George Wallace, he told the truth. It is the same thing."
Wallace, a fierce opponent of civil rights, served as governor of Alabama and sought the presidency multiple times.

Sounds like this guy listens to Mika, Halperin and JoeDeadIntern on MSNBC mornings. They can't stop hailing this racist, pathological, lying birther as some kind of brave truth teller.

Gregory Hood, a writer who penned an essay in support of Trump for the white nationalist blog Radix. Hood wrote:
Trump is worth supporting. He is worth supporting because we need a troll. We need someone who can expose the system that rules us as the malevolent and worthless entity it is.
Brad Griffin, founder of the Occidental Dissent, a website that describes itself as "Pro-White, Pro-South, Pro-Indepdence." On Trump, Griffin recently wrote:
Donald Trump isnt a conservative or a racialist by any stretch of the imagination, but he is a tornado that can inflict a lot of damage upon the two-party system.
Jared Taylor, considered one of the leading intellectual voices of the white nationalist movement, praised Trump's comments about Mexican immigrants in a video posted on the website of his American Renaissance journal:
Americans, real Americans have been dreaming of a candidate who says the obvious, that illegal immigrants from Mexico are a low-rent bunch that includes rapists and murders.
