Hillary Clintons campaign released a new ad Wednesday, part of a previous $2 million buy in Iowa and New Hampshire.
In the latest ad, titled Reshuffle the Deck and Rebuild the Middle Class, the Democratic frontrunner plays up her middle-class background and family.
The spot, which is still unlisted on the candidates YouTube channel, was uploaded on Tuesday and released at 6 a.m. Wednesday.
When you see that youve got CEOs making 300 times what the average workers making, you know, the deck is stacked in favor of those at the top. I want it to be back where it was when I came of age, where my mom, who never got to go to college, could see her daughter go to law school, she says in the ad, as images of a younger Clinton with her parents and graduating from school flash across the screen.

(1,539 posts)She worries about her grandchild's' future like other everyday folks. Will Bill & Hillary ever have enough money?

(18,649 posts)It came directly from the mouth of a friend's aunt.
She just happens to be a Tea Bagger from the great state of Arizona who made that almost word for word claim in the same conversation about how Sheriff Joe is fixing immigration and how we have to cut poor people from welfare. She also complained that Obama plays golf.
At least she openly admits that she gets her talking points from Fox News.

(27,711 posts)It's not like she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. She's worked to be where she's at and yes the Clinton's make money, but they also give it back. If more wealthy people acted like the Clinton's, the world would be a better place.
There will always be TV ads in American politics

(27,711 posts)If you want to point to a specific policy, that would be a better foundation for discussion. We won't have a reasonable debate on policy though if the attack is simply personal. I also don't think that's Senator Sander's message and it's not helpful to Sanders or the party.
Just my two cents, I'm a millenial.

(18,421 posts)TPP is a horrible idea, that she supports. She has said she will not insist on the re-installation of the Glass-Steagall Act. And she has not supported the effort to bring about single-payer healthcare. Also her support of GMO's and refusal to reject super PAC money, particularly from "blind" donors and Wall St. firms. Her war hawkishness and support of drone strikes in foreign nations. She has also been completely silent on warrantless wiretapping and the illegal government collection of metadata from American citizens at home and abroad.
