In a letter to S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control director Catherine Heigel, Haley asks the agency to “engage in a prompt and comprehensive investigation of the policies and practices of abortion clinics in our state, prioritizing those affiliated with or owned by Planned Parenthood, its subsidiaries, and its affiliates.”
DHEC oversees the state’s abortion clinics, including one in Columbia run by Planned Parenthood. Other clinics are in Charleston and Greenville.
“Over the past weeks, I have been shocked by recent accounts of unethical practices at clinics affiliated with Planned Parenthood, particularly those regarding the sale of human fetal tissue,” Haley wrote.

Her Confederate flag actions were a no-brainer. While I am so glad it resolved that issue, it did alter her description from "Tea Party Darling" to "Voice of the New South." (I need the little barfing icon here)

Planned Parenthood = the new ACORN. PP is the gift that keeps on giving.

It's red meat for the base. I visualize it as throwing raw steak into the lion's cage. It's a great fund-raising tool.

The fact that it doesn't affect their state's PP branches, or is part of an all out attack on women and the poor doesn't even cross their minds. It's purely an emotional response to saving fetuses.

Anyone remember when Conservatives were howling that Conservative groups were being harassed by the IRS when applying for tax exempt status. They were sure quick to whine when their groups were being investigated. Yet, they're sure eager to use the power of the state to investigate groups they don't like.
