FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) The latest in the events marking a year since the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri (all times local):
5:48 p.m.
A Washington Post reporter arrested while covering protests in Ferguson, Missouri, last year has been charged with trespassing and interfering with a police officer.
The Post reports (http://wapo.st/1PhlL6W ) Monday that national desk reporter Wesley Lowery was ordered to appear in court in St. Louis County on charges of trespassing and interfering with a police officer. The summons, dated Aug. 6, orders him to appear on Aug. 24.
Lowery and Ryan Reilly, a journalist with the Huffington Post, were handcuffed last August inside a fast food restaurant that reporters were using as a staging area while covering the Ferguson protests. Both tweeted about their arrests, detention and release without any charges.

(3,208 posts)but today there were arrests made in St. Louis city at the Federal Courthouse (including Cornell West).
Also, protestors shut down a major highway (I 70) in both directions at rush hour.
There is a curfew in Ferguson tonight as well.
I am not sure if this is on MSM. (and I am no Omaha Steven when it comes to linking big stories ! But it is on local news and Twitter and some of my Facebook friends are making me embarrassed when they talk about how "stupid" it is. They don't seem to understand it is in the Constitution when people are feeling oppressed by the government, and that I would stand up and do this if it was them being oppressed)

(22,000 posts)My assumption is it wouldn't change unless the person took a turn for the worse. Usually someone who is in critical condition takes at least a few days to stabilize. Let's hope that continues to be the case.
