G.O.P. debate lineup is announced; Kasich and Christie get final spots
Source: New York Times
Gov. John Kasich of Ohio is in and former Gov. Rick Perry of Texas is out of Fox Newss Republican debate on Thursday night in Cleveland, officials with the network said Tuesday, resolving the mystery of which lower-polling candidates will make the cut for the first debate of the 2016 presidential contest.
The network announced the 10 candidates who will have a podium spot for the main forum, which is expected to draw wide national viewership and give an invaluable platform to the candidates involved.
The others included in the lineup are Donald J. Trump, former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida, Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin, Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, Ben Carson, former Gov. Mike Huckabee of Arkansas and Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey.

If it's possible, I think these 10 damage the GOP brand even more than
Mitt's 47% comment because it's just an Echo Chamber.

(18,634 posts)The GOP is allowing everyone else to control their party. The Billionaires and TV moguls run the party and make all Republican politicians bow down and lick their crusty toenails while saying that they love doing it.
There is no consideration of policy. No thinking at all. They have to either spout what their overlords want them to say or die.
All except Trump because he is his own billionaire and doesn't have to grovel at the feet of the others. That's probably why he is so popular. He's the only one who can speak his mind.
It's really sad and pitiful what the Republicans have let their party become.
And it will be terrifying when Someday one of these guys are voted into office. They won't be allowed to govern, just follow instructions that have nothing to do with making the country work for the people and everything to do with giving everything in the country over to a handful of arrogant, obscene pricks.
