Trump Calls On GOP To Shut Down The Gov't To Defund Planned Parenthood

Source: TPM

-snip-

Democrats in the Senate on Monday blocked a bill that would remove federal funds from Planned Parenthood, which is in the spotlight after several videos were released that reportedly show representatives of the organization discussing selling fetal tissue.

Republicans could choose to continue attempts to remove federal funding from the organization, by possibly putting the topic in the budget bill, which has to pass by Sept. 30 to avoid a government shutdown, according to The Washington Post.

"That’s the only way to get rid of Planned Parenthood money for selling off baby parts is to shut the government down in September," Hewitt told Trump. "Would you support that?"

"I would, and I was also in support if the Republicans stuck together you could have done it with Obamacare also, but the Republicans decided not to stick together and they left a few people out there like Ted Cruz," Trump told Hewitt. "You know, they left a lot of the people who really went in and wanted to do the job and you know what? If they had stuck together they wold have won that battle. I think you have to in this case also, yes."

The only "political issues" that count are the culture war battles that have been politicized. That allows republicans to pour fuel directly on their base without having to singe any big donors. The oligarchs don't give a rat's buttocks about the fates of aborted fetuses or who flies old flags on their pickup trucks. Those sorts of "issues" serve only to keep the culture war crazies angry and disaffected.

the rest of us.

Sigh...ok, very well - here is a link that shows you how to use google, and I even threw in some words - they may be longer than you are used to, but, again, google.

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=bill+clinton+regrets
About 988,000 results (0.35 seconds)

(For someone as easily baffled as you say you are I even showed you how to use google. don't bother me with that one again).

Damn, that's a lot of regret. For extra credit, try searching for "the people regret bill clinton" - lots more regret results in that one.

Heck, I'll even go you another and suggest those cuts brought us the death and imprisonment of thousands of more people of color than we would have otherwise seen.

http://www.truth-out.org/news/item/23665-how-bill-clintons-welfare-reform-created-a-system-rife-with-racial-biases

In our current administration we have 35% unemployment among black males in some areas - yet our policy is to make bank$ter/donors richer while denying them government jobs by keeping our deficit lower. You can read Timothy "Killer" Geither's book Stress Test for the details, and see voters laugh at his face here when he tries to spin it otherwise.

Your mistake is in thinking I care what you choose, or choose not, to understand. It is a frequent error among conservatives to think that others are thinking along the same lines they are. Such mistakes are often proven to be a barrier to understanding.

So when you say "I just cannot understand your drivel" it says a lot more about your outlook than you might know.

Go Bernie.

Sorry that someone asking a point of clarification on your obtuse post makes you act like such a small child. I still do not speak whine, so bear with me. Are you assuming that I knew you were talking about Bill Clinton? Well I didn't, so I was wondering which president you were whining about.

Now that I see the Bernie stuff at the end of your last post I think that I understand. You must attack Hillary in any way and from any angle, yet the real source of our problems are on the Republican side. You know them, the side whose bidding you do, inadverten........errrrr........unknowin.....errrrr....well you know.

Thanks for the clarification. And chalk up another who loves Bernie but has just about had it with his "supporters", if that is really what you are. I think that I will vote for someone else in the primary.

Planned Parenthood will survive. No more than a third of their funding comes from government. The cuts will badly hurt PP and hurt the poor and shirtsleeve families it serves even worse, but it will survive.

Organize, donate, vote. We may lose in the short run, but in the long run, we'll be back.

And take down these despicable people's names. There will be a time for payback. No forgiveness, no reconciliation; they've proven to be selfish, arrogant liars time and time again. Throw them out of office, investigate, indict, prosecute, convict and fine, because these arrogant wretches think they're above the law and will break it, and keep the pressure on until the last of these vipers dies of old age.

I believe Lila Rose is in her twenties; that means freezing these people out of politics until the last ones die of old age. That's sixty more years.

I'm well aware that the Radical Right has been hatching new generations of young vipers. However, most of these little <censoreds> think they'll be able to have their buddies in coming years. Lila Rose was one of O'Kreepy's anti-Acorn videos. Most of these guys pal around with the NRA.

I suspect enough hard times will wise up a lot of voters, even some of my fellow but dumb<cluck> Caucasians.

I don't see change for the better coming from Texas, but it's possible help will come from without old Dixie.

Then, once aborted, would he like to throw the remains in the medical waste bin or send it to a laboratory to search for a cure for disease. This bag of wind or for that matter all of these bags of wind are positioning themselves to be either president or vice-president, and that being said we have this wind bag called Trump defending one other huckster by the name of Cruz.

So if Trump (wind bag one in the current polls of the clown car) gets the nomination , I think he will pick Cruz as his running mate.

To make anti-abortion statements may garner him support from some quarters that would possibly otherwise be aloof from him. Reagan was not, to my knowledge, personally intensely religious, and gained support from the religious right because of his statements. Candidates like Bush are pretty low key all around, I think.

Now he's sounding like an opportunist in the strongest sense, one
who will say anything to win

He's outflanking all the other GOP candidates

I'm thinking he regards them as a bunch of do-nothing buffoons

He could blow this whole election out of the water
