.......

MCKINNEY -- Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton surrendered at the Collin County Jail Monday morning on three felony indictments.

Paxton walked in the front door of the county jail to briefly be fingerprinted, photographed and booked.

(...) Paxton faces three criminal charges – two first-degree felonies for securities fraud and a third-degree felony for failing to register with the state to sell securities.

Paxton is accused of having defrauded two individuals of more than $100,000. He does not have to resign while he fights the charges.

that represents me. I would like to live in a Texas that is rational and devoid of corruption.

I keep hearing that we are becoming a purple state. I'm ready for blue, myself.

Headed for NM day after tomorrow.. Bye bye Texas. Spent 3 nights in San Angelo for a family reunion. Too hot to do anything. Today and tomorrow we're enjoying visiting our 88 year old liberal aunt who lives near El Paso, then we're outta here.

punch that pathological sociopathic smirk off his inbred face. We don't like our Texas relatives. Can you tell? All Paxtons in America are related through three brothers fleeing the British through Ireland in the 1600's. Wrong side of their rebellion. As usual.

Anyone with a brain would realize you should tell someone that you will get a kickback - excuse me, a commission - if they buy something you recommend to them. Paxton knew the rules, even if he says he didn't. He was a frikkin' state senator when the events occurred that led to this indictment. What a low, low bar to enter politics in Texas.

Smirking bastard.

One of the koch brothers (I think it's charles koch) has a crooked smile like that - one side goes up and the other goes DOWN. reagan had a smile like that, too. Crooked. Two-sided. Cockeyed. If you play that game where you look at their photo and cover one half of their face, and then do the same with the other half of their face, you can see how the two sides of the face are not only not the same but are telling you different things. Two-faced, literally.

Worked for DeLay, 50% done for Perry. This state is so damn corrupt and these evil fucks we have in charge are just driving us all down a hole. Voting to rid ourselves of them is our only chance, I just hope we do not lose that (they are trying!).

Only an actual closing jail cell door will ever get rid of that smile.

Texas attorney general Ken Paxton booked on fraud charges
By Lauren McGaughy
Updated 1:07 pm, Monday, August 3, 2015

McKINNEY - Ken Paxton was booked Monday at the Collin County jail on three felony charges, confirming weekend reports that a hometown grand jury last week indicted the first-term attorney general for alleged securities fraud.

In keeping with his long-time pattern of avoiding the media, Paxton entered the Collin County jail through an entrance inaccessible to the press and public, and did not make a statement after his booking at the county courthouse.

Dozens of reporters waited for Paxton, who did not appear. A handful of members of the public, mostly representing the Texas Democratic Party, held a small press conference calling for Paxton's resignation.

The scene marked a stark departure from Gov. Rick Perry's post-indictment booking last year, when Perry made a lengthy statement in front of the Travis County courthouse in front of throngs of supporters. Just one pro-Paxton supporter was spotted in McKinney on Monday, a middle aged woman standing on the sidelines and toting a Bible.

Towel is the equalizer for Collin County mug shots

I worked at the Denton County sheriff's office many years ago when a big shot in the local GOP was arrested and booked into jail for refusing to fill out a lengthy jury questionnaire. She wasn't actually taken to the regular fingerprint and booking area. She was politely escorted to the sheriff's personal office and they brought a fingerprint kit to her and took her picture there. She waited in there until all the paperwork for her bond was done and then she left. I suspect she still talks about how traumatic the whole experience was for her.

BREAKING: Anti-Gay Texas Attorney General Is Arrested – Getting Special Treatment
http://www.addictinginfo.org/2015/08/03/breaking-anti-gay-texas-attorney-general-is-arrested-getting-special-treatment-video/

...... Paxton received preferential treatment while being arrested.

In Collin county, defendants usually have a white towel hanging around their neck so the public cannot see what clothing they are wearing. But, Paxton is shown in his mugshot wearing a suit and tie. The judge in the case agreed to let him take the picture without the towel. Imagine that. .....
