Christie booed mercilessly at Haskell

Source: NJ.com

OCEANPORT — It was one long happy celebration at Monmouth Park for the great American Pharoah's latest victory. At least, that is, until Gov. Chris Christie stepped into the Winner's Circle to present the trophy.

And then, the record crowd of 60,983 booed.

Long.

Loud.

Sustained.

Maybe he should have hung around Bill Murray.

The cheering resumed as trainer Bob Baffert and owner Ahmed Zayat address the crowd and talking about their famous horse. Then Christie's name was mentioned again, and the booing started anew.

But never went.

Oceanport is in this sliver of NJ that tends to vote R. Nice to see Christie getting booed in one of his strongholds by the visitors to the park.

They probably were worried he was going to eat the horse.

He wants to "punch" teachers unions in this country. The man is delusional, but underestimate Chris Christie and his machine at your own peril. Christie can do well in New Hampshire in Feb. 2016, and he can make noise. He's popular in some areas of NYC, like Staten Island, Bay Ridge for some reason. If Bay Ridge and Staten Island likes this man, then this country is in trouble.

Well, yes. He's popular in white conservative enclaves of New York City. I suspect he's also popular in Whitestone, Bayside, and Douglaston. It's not particularly surprising.

From what I could see he totally ignored Bob Baffert the trainer and Victor Espinosa the jockey while being booed by the crowd.

Of course being seen embracing a short Mexican dude in blue and white silks would not sit well with the base--besides Espinosa carries a whip and pound for pound jockeys are among the strongest athletes in the world. If he got offended, watch out!

Achmed Zayat, American Pharoah's owner, lives in Teaneck and is an Orthodox Jew originally from Egypt. He might very well be a Christie supporter or someone Christie thinks would be likely to donate to his cause. Zayat did call Christie "Mr. President" after the ceremony. I don't know if he was being facetious.

The picture reeks of having been staged. Poorly presented without a doubt. As to the comment at the end- referring to Christie as mr. president, I think more of a shot back at the booing crowd. Zayat no doubt thinks after all he has done for it in providing the show, they should at least consider Christie is his guest and those boo's caused him discomfort -essentially stealing his center stage thunder. The rich man expects the mass's to know these things and his intolerance to that is what such in a type will consider unacceptable unruliness . And with a horse named american pharaoh it is indeed comical Christie being addressed as mr president at the end of a horse race !

You must remember above all to a rich man it's a rich mans world. Zayat can have a horse named american pharaoh and a servant by any name he will choose to give it .

The entire staged thing should be labeled unorthodox.-ed !

Now picture Christie boot strapping his way into the debate this week fully dressed in Egyptian pharaoh garb !

If you see for what it is Christie threw himself at Zayat practically on his knees.

Make no mistake Christie is desperate.

Further and on edit, Christie no doubt is quite the expert at conveying his feelings without using words ,and so given the shock wave sent his office ! by the crowd Christie no doubt felt not ashamed but broken by the unexpected over whelming spoiler vibes he cast out onto the public thus disrupting almost to the point of spoiling the festivities. Christie is in denial about about his credibility.
The feelings he projected Zayat's way were no doubt filled with shock and apologies indicating he had no idea he could possibly be responsible for such a crowd reaction due to his presence. Zayat may have attempting to help lift a lard like heavy seeming substance that was pulling Christie's political spirit down into the flush. Christie after all did face the undeniable truth standing before the people in mass assembly that clearly don't want him. You must know what was delivered to Christie is a powerful punch in the face by the people collectively. But I think the impact was more of knock out punch- or TKO.

And he was rendered powerless to do anything about it by the very same people that elected him to office. In the bottom line I suppose you could say money did talk and bull shit did walk. I imagine Christie will be needing a crutch to get around for a while because denial cannot possibly be working for him now.

It kind of reminds me of Nixon when they relocated to NYC and had problems locating an apartment to buy. You see nobody wanted to live near to or too close by the Nixon's . Nixon was pretty broken up over it,he thought everybody hated him. In fact he was seen in a common area by a guy looking poorly ,and the guy actually felt sorry for Richard Nixon looking so poorly the way he did. Well don't you know he thought he had to say something ,so he said ,if you ran again ,I would vote for ya.
he said what he said seemed to be a little up lifting for Richard Nixon- he said he thought he needed a bit of that.

Did he really mean that , he would vote for him ? You could toss a coin I suppose.

There is no kind of damage control the Christie Players can apply to get it over the greater mass's in New Jersey again.

The truth is Christie is damaged goods and he will eventually be left in abandonment.
No way for the people to forgive what that is.

The bushy's won't save him twice.

Oh wait, it isn't all out in the open yet.

People like Christie and friends of Christie are conditioned to build themselves up and out of low points by lying to themselves about themselves .
And they even pass off those lies on to other people as they talk about themselves always- after all isn't Chris Christie all about Chris Christie ? The lies they tell themselves have to be convincing or they face the truth of the matter. And sometimes their own bull shit smells to good to them that they just must bill themselves to the unsuspecting or in some cases suspecting through the lies they tell themselves about themselves. Some of those whack jobs actually attend ivy league schools. Friends of Chris Christie are all the same.
Predators .

Of course I wouldn't underestimate how it is their twisted method of building themselves up works for them capitalizing on denial. And Christie will no doubt convey himself in public or in interview as if what happened didn't happen or means little to nothing. At the same time I think the punch in mouth they collectively administered to Christie- effects are permanent-hence the crutch.

Lastly is the way it is such a type will seemingly convince you or people in general how it is notable in commons will make them seem to be just like you . They make it an art form in their presentation/presentations. They become what they think you think they should be like- but Christie, he's got something he adds to that and what that is ,is what makes him their guy.

That which seems to make him rule a room full of people- a room not a stadium. How can they not stay focused on him as big as he is and as much room as he takes up.
But than there is this thing that he does that makes him their guy. But who are those they's that put that claim to Christie-their guy ? The theys that want the return or benefits now work for Christie -but those theys are expendable -heads roll all that.
But what about those theys that are in it for the long haul -those back behind it all, those plants ? Dream job plants ! 50 ish 60 ish types ,long time friends of Christie and the organization -yes old time Bushy's that all still secretly of course just love who they call Georggy- G.W in Texas..Old time Reagan republicans, cherished members of the old young republican reform party. But look at it now, everything just turned upside down on them.

Those that know and use that thing Christie does at those close encounters in rooms.

Hypnotic !-trance like. ! Pied piper ! The thing that draws them in !

Again, It wasn't just the bridge !!!

And all those dream jobs down the flush -for them if they exist of course ,it was the bridge.
Is there really a thing called the jersey devil ? It it a myth ,is there really something to it ,maybe the bridge did do it.
Or maybe they do it to themselves at everybody else's expense every time. And maybe because of it they become experts at convincing themselves it's never their fault. They are not the bad guys ,they want to root out the bad ones.

How do they face themselves in the mirror you might wonder- that's easy for someone who is faceless because there is nothing to see.And if it ain't there, it can't bother you !

He is a disturbing demagogue with a very nasty streak. He enables the white inner anger that Trump has been so aggressively expounding. If it plays in Bay Ridge does it also play in Peoria and L.A.? Does his machine have the legs to travel beyond the Garden State?

I turned to the person standing next to me "sounds like the governor has arrived."

She said "I hope the son of a #@%$ comes over near me, I'm a teacher."

It was pretty short, maybe the governor decided it was better to be out of the public eye. We also wondered if perhaps Mr. Springsteen had made an appearance--his wife and daughter are horse people--and maybe what we were hearing were cries of Bruuuce!

At any rate Bill Murray made his appearance and shortly after that the horses arrived so we did not see Christie there.

Palin made a 2008 campaign appearance at a Philadelphia Flyers game and got booed. Two weeks later, she had to do it again but THIS time:

"The GOP Vice-Presidential nominee said at an earlier fundraiser that she would stop some of the booing from the rowdy Philadelphia fans by putting her seven year old daughter, Piper in a Flyers jersey. She said, 'How dare they boo Piper!'"
