Chaka Fattah, a Democratic congressman from Philadelphia, faces charges related to corruption and racketeering known as a RICO case. Fattah has served in the House for 21 years.

(23,105 posts)This guy may indeed be corrupt, but why aren't they going after Scott Walker campaign violations instead of him? Yes, this is just being partisan, but damn, is there any Repug or 1%er that they will really go after and try to convict? Seems like they just like handing out slaps on the wrist to the 1%ers.

"Legalized" corruption requires doing the bidding of the powerful interests first, or you are not given the goods.
What exactly is the difference between a quid pro quo with an immediate vs a payoff after office?

I applaud the rooting out of corruption, left, right, center, black, white, green...it makes no difference because corruption does not break along party lines.
Why some folks choose even the good things done to leap the logical cliff and land directly on Obama and Holder, and still think they should be taken seriously, is beyond my understanding.
