Bobbi Kristina Brown dead at 22: Whitney Houston’s daughter passes

Source: Daily News

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the celebrity wild child whose short and tragic life mirrored her celebrated mother Whitney Houston’s sad and untimely demise, died Sunday at age 22.

Brown, who battled many of the same demons as her seven-time Grammy-winning parent, died at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Ga., six months after she was found unconscious in a water-filled bathtub at her home on Jan. 31, the Houston family told Entertainment Tonight.

"She is finally at peace in the arms of God," the family said in statement. "We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."

Family members, including her gospel star grandmother Cissy Houston, spent months praying for a miracle before surrendering to the inevitable and moving Bobbi Kristina to hospice care on June 24.

Especially wishing strength to her father in this nightmarish moment. Hard to imagine how agonizing this must be.

Although it would have been a miracle if she didn't have an addiction after having been raised by Whitney and Bobby.

May mother and daughter rest in peace.

Her death is sad, but then again so was how she was brought up. As much as I like the work of Whitney Houston, she and Bobby Brown 's relationship was tumultuous at best. It is good to see the family was able to let her go.

Now that she's finished dying, the criminal investigation will really begin. And since Bobbi left no will, offspring, or lawfully wedded spouse, Bobby Senior can claim that he's the legal next of kin to what's left of her estate -- if the court agrees that in spite of the trust Whitney's mother set up and Bobbi agreed to, it really IS her estate.

It was recently stated that much of the money will go to Cissy Houston (Whitney Houston's mom) her remaining children. Apparently, the way Whitney Houston set up her will and/or the trust fund made it so that if Bobbi Kristina did not make it to a certain age Bobby Brown would get the money Bobbi Kristina had already been given, but all money remaining in her trust would be split between Cissy Houston and Whitney Houston's three brothers. Bobbi Kristina had already received about $1-$2 million from her trust. So, that money goes to Bobby Brown. All remaining funds are to go to the Houston family. I think for Bobby Brown to get all of her money Bobbi Kristina had to reach the age of 25 or 35.

But Bobbi was of legal adult age when she died, and I've read that it was Whitney's mother who set up a deferred payment plan of sorts, to which Bobbi agreed. If so, it may not be Whitney's estate anymore.

I'm not someone who blames him for her addiction. Plenty of people in Hollywood are addicted without their parents help.
