Lindsey Graham on Charleston shooter: 'It's him ... not the flag'

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham blames 21-year-old Dylann Roof, the man who shot and killed nine African Americans praying in Charleston, for his actions, and the presidential hopeful doesn't want the Confederate flag to be used as an excuse.

And this:

“I am urging that the Confederate battle flag be removed from State House grounds to an appropriate location,” he said in a statement.
So Senator, what would you say is an appropriate location? Hint, anything that doesn't include a flame is wrong.

It requires a 2/3 vote to do it since the legislature is already past its adjournment date. There are a lot of legislators who will get primaried over a vote to take it down. I just hope they will do what they know is the right thing.
To help them do the right thing: tourism is the state's #1 industry, and a continuing controversy will likely have a big impact on that.

Senator Lindsey Graham, the Republican presidential candidate from South Carolina, called on Monday for the Confederate battle flag to be removed from the state’s Capitol. “I am urging that the Confederate battle flag be removed from State House grounds to an appropriate location,” he said in a statement. “I hope that, by removing the flag, we can take another step towards healing and recognition – and a sign that South Carolina is moving forward” ...
