Trump jumps in: The Donald's latest White House run is officially on

Donald Trump is finally taking the plunge.

The real estate mogul and TV reality star launched his presidential campaign Tuesday, ending more than two decades of persistent flirtation with the idea of running for the Oval Office.

"So, ladies and gentlemen, I am officially running for president of the United States, and we are going to make our country great again," Trump told the crowd.

Just over four years after he came closer than ever to launching a campaign before bowing out, Trump will make what he's billed as a "major announcement" at the lavish Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in New York, laying out a vision to match his incoming campaign slogan, "Make America Great Again."

The captain of the U.S.S. Clown Car has arrived!

Can't wait to see him get his ass handed to him and try to spin it as a victory.

UPDATE:
The DNC's statement is bloody brilliant:

"Today Donald Trump became the second major Republican presidential candidate to announce for president in two days. He adds some much-needed serious that has been lacking from the GOP field, and we look forward to hearing more about his ideas for the nation.
-- DNC press secretary Holly Shulman"

I wonder how many weeks he'll continue this shtick before bowing out of this publicity stunt. What's sad is that our media takes this seriously.

Bu$h vs Trump.

I bet Poppy Bu$h fires up the death threats, just like he did with Perot.

Trump is about to find out just how nasty and evil Babs Bu$h can get.

42. The Trump 'Manifesto': A "Great Wall of Mexico" and a 35% tariff.
Wed Jun 17, 2015, 06:32 AM
Jun 2015
The world is dumping its problems on America, according to Mr Trump, none more so than Mexico. “They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists,” he said, before briefly admitting that some might be good people. The solution for a property and construction tycoon is simple. “I would build a great wall, and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me, and I'll build them very inexpensively, I will build a great, great wall on our southern border. And I will have Mexico pay for that wall.”

So here's how Mr Trump would negotiate with Ford if it unveiled plans for a massive plant in Mexico on his watch: “I'd call up Ford and say: 'Let me give you the bad news. Every car and every truck and every part manufactured in this plant that comes across the border, we're going to charge you a 35 per cent tax, and that tax is going to be paid simultaneously with the transaction, and that's it.” The head of Ford would call back within an hour – or the next day if playing it cool - and the negotiations would consist of Mr Trump hanging up.

Herbert Hoover revisited. And Hoover never built a 'Great Wall of Mexico'.
