Petition Wants IOC To Strip Caitlyn Jenner Of Olympic Gold Medal

A petition aimed at Caitlyn Jenner is urging the International Olympic Committee to revoke the gold medal won by Jenner in the decathalon in the 1976 Olympics. The petition is addressed to the International Olympic committee and gets hung up on the fact that if the male Jenner always knew he was a female, then there was a violation of committee rules by allowing a woman to participate in a men’s sport. :
“It has recently come to light that gold medalist Bruce Jenner is in fact transgender, and dentifies as a woman. We congratulate Ms. Jenner on these new developments and wish her the best. However, this creates somewhat of a problem as Ms. Jenner (as talented as she is) claims that she has always believed herself to be truly female, and therefore, was in violation of committee rules regarding women competing in men’s sports and vice versa. Therefore, it is with a heavy heart that we must ask whether or not it is proper that Ms. Jenner should retain her olympic records in light of this, as we must now either claim that Bruce Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner are two entirely different people (which we know is not true), or that Bruce Jenner was, in fact, a woman participating in a men’s event. It is only fair to all involved that women receive their credit as champions of the Decathalon and that the men racing Ms. Jenner are not expected to compete with a superior, streamlined being such as herself."
“We urge Ms. Jenner to support the transgender community by giving up the medals earned by competing against the wrong gender."

Obviously, if she had earned the medals in the female competition as a male transitioning to female, then she would have had an unfair advantage.
But what-the-hell advantage did she have competing in the male category when she identified as a male.

As Bruce, Jenner fathered children. They have no valid argument, legal or biological.

I know what I'm looking at right there. It's not what the book cover says. People need to mind their own effing business!
As my BNL is a FTM, let me say, the person knows something's up, but has a long time generally until s/he can fully accept what the solution is.
Because it is nothing one wants, the surgeries are horrible, the side effects of the hormone therapy and all of that, the years of counseling.
Add to that the CONTINUING discrimination in the most routine matters and one's intimate life put under a microscope, it's a hell no one wants to go through.
It's enough to drive one around the bend. But Jenner has wealth from hard work and his family to give support through all of this.
Jenner also made the best of it for her entire life. It's not a fate anyone wants to endure. But it gives more insight into the other gender than most people are ever allowed to possess.
They CANNOT take away the achievements in sports or any other field from Jenner. I expect the IOC will send this to where it belongs, straight to File 13.
That's no basis for taking revoking the medal.
