'American Sniper' widow Taya Kyle endorses Rick Perry for president
By Joshua Fechter | May 29, 2015
Taya Kyle, widow of "American Sniper" Chris Kyle, has endorsed former Texas Gov. Rick Perry for president, according to media reports.
She will also attend a Thursday event in Addison where Perry is expected to launch his second bid for the White House, Breitbart Texas and USA Today report.
In an email to Perry supporters, Kyle calls Perry "one of the great leaders this state and country have ever produced" and praises the governor and his wife Anita Perry: "I've had an up-close view of their humility and commitment to doing the right thing for people regardless of who gets the credit."
"Believe me, they are a breath of fresh air in a political system full of people playing games and twisting the truth," Taya Kyle said.
Chris Kyle, regularly touted as the deadliest sniper in U.S. history, was killed Feb. 2, 2013, at a shooting range near Glen Rose. Eddie Ray Routh, 27, was convicted in February on capital murder charges and will serve a life sentence, The Associated Press reported.

(135,425 posts)of them. She no doubt wants to believe that her loss has some kind of meaning, and those jerks are trying to suggest that it does, when all it is, is a damn shame.
It's a common chickenhawk ploy--and Rick Perry has that game wired.
No matter how much she touts that hateful, mouth-breathing moron, it ain't gonna bring her husband back, so I'm just going to and ignore her. She's already in her own personal hell, I'm sure. She doesn't need me to pile on.

I think she's going to be as much of a grifter as Sister Sarah Alaskstan - and I don't worship at the Altar of war!
If you and she don't like it - tough.
That man is out to get me - she's with him. She's my enemy.
She's fair game. I'll make fun of her and put her down as much as I want. Rest assured - that Stepford is not a member at DU. So she's fair game.

(14,449 posts)She obviously loved her husband and was murdered. She is just trying to make a living as most poor people do especially when they become a widow. We don't know if she went to college or anything and she also has children to consider or would you rather they starve due to their parents?

(51,697 posts)If she voted Dem, she would not only do better by her kids, she would do better by all kids.
I don't see the analogy to JFK and MLK. They were great men who were assassinated. Kyle was a egomaniacal dumbass who got himself killed handing a gun to a guy he himself said was "straight up nuts." But Dr. Kyle thought a little time on the gun range cured mental illness...because he knew better than mental health professionals.
I do feel sorry for her kids. They did not choose their dad nor the life they were born into.

(31,879 posts)You think she cares?
She's in the public eye - and she's fair game for anyone to make fun of her.
She's hanging her hopes on a man who does not care about poor people. So she can't that poor.
She had a few million on hand when he died. National Review exposed he kept the majority of the profits for himself.
You know - we are millionaires - but we aren't enemies of the poor and don't affiliate with people who are.
When she sets up a community kitchen and boosts for a few food banks - get back to me. See - we've had to do that because people of Perry's ilk think its funny to cut SNAP and TANF.
She's showing you WHO she is - who she really is. You need to believe her. And then, proceed from there.

And it's alright to tell the execution board for the state to kill people that had tainted evidence presented in capital crimes saying that the person might be innocent----------where-by a father of three children was put to death on suspected evidence -----------because Perry and his pardon's board and the judicial review didn't want the evidence presented during the appeal process----------wouldn't you want to know the question as to, why.
Because maybe in my humble opinion, the zeal of putting over 245 human beings to death under his watch he said, hey, what the hell were hell bent on carrying out the executions to hell with the evidence, I'm the governor.
That's not great humility and commitment, on being a fair and honest governor.
Did she forget that he has a mug shot------------that's a breath of fresh air-he is under indictment for abuse of power for political gain----------------yeah.

(160,621 posts)Texas Gov. Greg Abbott declares Chris Kyle Day as American Sniper continues to surge
By Peter Holley February 2
As Americans elsewhere wrangle over Chris Kyles complicated legacy and his portrayal in American Sniper, the Navy SEAL sharpshooters home state is leaving little doubt about where it stands.
On Monday, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) proclaimed Feb. 2 Chris Kyle Day, a declaration made to honor the late marksman, whose autobiography, American Sniper, is the basis of the box office smash by the same name.
We can never repay the debt we owe for the lives he saved and the freedom he preserved but we can honor his memory, his patriotism, his sacrifice and his inspiration, Abbott said at the statehouse in Austin.
Abbott encouraged all Texans to pay tribute to the legacy of Chief Petty Officer Kyle, a great Texan and a true American hero.
