About 160 more Boko Haram hostages rescued, says Nigerian army

Source: yahoo

Nigerian troops have rescued about 160 more hostages from Boko Haram's Sambisa Forest stronghold in northeast Nigeria, the country's army told AFP on Thursday.

"We are still trying to compute the actual number of those rescued. But tentatively there are about 60 women of various ages and around 100 children," said army spokesman Sani Usman.

Usman said one woman was killed in the fighting and eight other rescued hostages were injured. A soldier was also killed and four others wounded.

I know someone who spent several weeks in central Nigeria, and he told me that where he was, there was constant fear of a Boko Haram attack. My hat is off to the Nigerian troops for rescuing the hostages.

There is so little info in the article that there is not anything to discuss.

106 "me too" responses to "I am happy that they were rescued" does not contribute anything to the conversation.

However, a bunch of clicks on the "recommend" button would be a good thing.

So glad to hear this news. Clearly Buhari isn't in league with Boko Haram like Goodluck was, and is taking this seriously.
