Nigerian troops have rescued about 160 more hostages from Boko Haram's Sambisa Forest stronghold in northeast Nigeria, the country's army told AFP on Thursday.

Usman said one woman was killed in the fighting and eight other rescued hostages were injured. A soldier was also killed and four others wounded.

(27,247 posts)I know someone who spent several weeks in central Nigeria, and he told me that where he was, there was constant fear of a Boko Haram attack. My hat is off to the Nigerian troops for rescuing the hostages.

(10,136 posts)There is so little info in the article that there is not anything to discuss.
106 "me too" responses to "I am happy that they were rescued" does not contribute anything to the conversation.
However, a bunch of clicks on the "recommend" button would be a good thing.
