Millions Wanted to Vote But Couldn’t

Source: PoliticalWire

New research finds that many more people wanted to vote in the 2012 presidential election but couldn’t register.

Alex Street: “We estimate that keeping registration open through Election Day in 2012 would have allowed an additional 3 million to 4 million Americans to register and vote. We used the number of Google searches for ‘register to vote’ in the weeks leading up to the 2012 election to measure late interest in registering. These search terms were entered millions of times, and much of the activity fell at the very end of the campaign period.”

The difference this time is that some states want to have un-registered voters, be registered "automatically" when they apply for/renew a driver's license vs the current federal law where the opportunity must be made available at DMVs to allow someone to register if they desire (the forms would need to be available), but it's not "automatic".

7. All citizens have a right to vote what are we doing about it

We should demand a law that makes it a federal crime for a citizen to be denighed the right to vote. President Obama and the democratic party should force the republicans in congress to pass this or else! We the people can put pressure on the republican party to do the right thing. After 1968 democratic convention police riot in chicago every place that humhpries tried to campaign demonstrators would drown him out chanting "the whole world is watching!" It devastated his campaign. We can put mass demonstrations at every republican campaign event. Put signs next to their campaign signs calling them out for trying to stop american citizens from voting. They will say they want to stop voter fraud that doesn't exist we say you shouldn't stop american citizens from voting that is not voter fraud! I have written a screenplay how the undocumented children fight for their rights against the republican fascist police state of arizona. To show how to fight back against the evil that is the republican party. thealamoisavenged.com It gives you some ideas on to stand up to evil/
