ISIS apparently claims responsibility for Tunisia museum attack; 9 arrested

In an audio statement posted online Thursday, ISIS claimed responsibility for the deadly terrorist attack at the Bardo Museum in Tunis, Tunisia.

The statement says Abu Zakariya al-Tunisi and Abu Anas al-Tunisi were two people who carried out the attack, which it warns is "just the start." CNN cannot independently verify the authenticity of the audio statement.

A U.S. official told CNN that there is no reason to doubt the claim's authenticity. That said, American officials are trying to verify the platform that the statement went out on, including to the extent it is tied to the group calling itself the Islamic State.

The current U.S. thinking is that the attack may have been carried out by local "franchise" adherents to ISIS, rather than centrally directed by the Islamist extremist group's leadership now thought to be in Syria.

or the journalists more specifically -- they keep updating this so it is a little further down but only 4-5 graphics from the top - http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/06/12/world/middleeast/the-iraq-isis-conflict-in-maps-photos-and-video.html

Most of ISIS foreign fighters come from Tunisia.

Right at the beginning of the Arab Spring -- especially in Tunisia -- Qatar was quick to involve themselves in financing & training the rebellion but it is obvious by now they are organizing Wahabbi terror cults so when everything is disorganized, the well-financed, organized, a militarily trained force is there to fill the power vacuum (not sure if those words are the right 2 words for it).

Normally, ISIS seems like they would claim credit for anything & everywhere but in this case in-combination with Qatar there is a lot of interconnections with ISIS in Syria & Tunisia fighters so it would be unlikely if ISIS didn't have something to do with it..
