Afghanistan militants planning 'huge' attack held in Kabul

Five militants suspected of planning a big attack in the Afghan capital Kabul have been arrested, officials say.

A truck carrying 10 tonnes of explosives was seized from the group, said a National Directorate of Security spokesman.

The men, thought to belong to the Haqqani militant network, were planning to assassinate the second vice-president, Mohammad Khalili, he said.

A video detailing the group's plans has also reported to have been found.
