Jindal, Cruz to headline gathering of 200 Iowa pastors

Source: Des Moines Register

White House aspirants Ted Cruz and Bobby Jindal, both born-again Christians, will speak to about 200 Iowa pastors and their spouses next week, organizers told The Des Moines Register.

The two Republicans will be the keynote guests at a two-day, invitation-only “pastors and pews” event organized by the American Renewal Project, a group that seeks to mobilize Christian conservatives to become influencers in presidential elections and other civic matters.

Cruz, a U.S. senator from Texas, will give remarks at the event’s lunch session Monday. Monday’s dinner session will feature Jindal, the governor of Louisiana, and California-based conservative radio talk show host Dennis Prager.

...snip...

The American Renewal Project, founded by evangelical Christian activist David Lane, has been working in Iowa, South Carolina and other politically influential states for several years. For its “pastors and pews” events, officially billed as “Rediscovering God in America” pastors policy briefings, organizers underwrite hotel and meal expenses for the invited guests.

So the tax exempt status is no longer at risk. Exactly for that reason. These two candidates are just addressing businessmen that run religions. Just like they grovel at the feet of the Kock Bros.

Seriously 200? That's it??? I'd be embarrassed they couldn't get more to sit around with these two assholes.
