Girlfriend who witnessed Nemtsov murder reaches Kiev

Source: AFP

Moscow (AFP) - The chief witness in the murder of Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov -- a Ukrainian model who was his girlfriend -- arrived in Kiev, as authorities vowed to solve the most shocking political assassination to take place during Vladimir Putin's rule.

Ganna Duritska, who was walking with Nemtsov when he died, arrived safely at Kiev airport, her lawyer Vadim Prokhorov -- who was accompanying her -- told reporters, adding that she needed to rest.

Duritska earlier said investigators were preventing her from leaving Moscow.

The funeral for Nemtsov, a 55-year-old former deputy prime minister, longtime Putin critic and anti-corruption crusader, was to be held Tuesday in the Russian capital's Troekurovskoye cemetery.

Translator, traitor.
I wouldn't hold it against the translator, at least you understood it. Not like camera instructions from Japanese to English in the 70s.

In this case, you're saying they should have used the passive voice - "he was killed". It's not a simple matter of one always being preferable.

Not logical.

But how he managed to be appear to be three armed people and shoot himself repeatedly is still something of a mystery. I'm sure RT is on it.

Things are slowly coming out.

That is one of the problems with our tabloid western media. They throw out casual information because it creates headlines. Those of us old enough remember a time when they would have made sure that information was accurate before doing so (usually at least). But those times are long gone.

The western press is no more reliable (or less biased) than RT (though for different reasons). Wise people don't trust either but use all sources and search to verify. There is no other way to determine the truth (or use one of the few trusted alternative media that are not after mammon and keeping power and money happy).

LOL.

It's part of the aim of RT and Putin Explainers to make people believe BS exactly like that--everything is all opaque and unknowable, so just sit back and watch newsmodels like Abby Martin babble about conspiracies and the "MSM" because who knows who shot Nemtsov? Maybe he shot himself. The suicide theory, why not.

How is that approach honest or helpful? It's not. And you won't intimidate me by using these tactics either.

All the video cameras hung up around the world seem to be useless.Whenever there is a incident, the cameras for some reason don't work. the Pentagon had multiple cameras, yet no video. The Boston marathon bombings had a traffic camera right above the alleged bombers, yet no video.Seems to be a huge waste of taxpayer money.

They caught the Boston Bombers due to all the cameras in the area...There is also video of the bombers placing the bombs that will be shown at trial.

Cameras were THE REASON they were able to ID the bombers as soon as they did.

Like most people, I don't know who killed him, but anytime there's an unusual relationship it's a red flag. As I understand it, she's a model a full 30 years younger than him, and could have been involved with others who had an agenda, romantic or not. Perhaps even with the govt for all anyone knows. Certainly the secret police have such people on the payroll and always have.

I doubt we ever learn the truth. At least not the unofficial truth.

That is exactly the thinking that has been used against LGBT people for all time, and thus I reject it.

I didn't know that. I assumed when I read "model who is 30 years his junior" that it was a female.

My bad. When I cited an "unusual relationship" I meant because of the age difference and level of attractiveness. Now you tell me it was a male model.

And now that she's safely in Ukraine, the backstory will be fleshed out. And after she's 'rested', she'll tell her story. Can't wait.
