Nugent says had "solid" meeting with Secret Service
Source: reuters
(Reuters) - Musician and gun-rights advocate Ted Nugent said on Thursday he had a positive meeting with U.S. Secret Service agents investigating his recent criticism of President Barack Obama, and the agency confirmed the issue had been resolved.
Nugent, who told NRA supporters in St. Louis last week that he would be "dead or in jail" next year if Obama was reelected, said in a statement that he had "met with two fine, professional Secret Service agents" in Oklahoma.
"Good, solid, professional meeting concluding that I have never made any threats of violence towards anyone. The meeting could not have gone better," the 63-year-old singer and guitarist said. He was due to perform a concert in Ardmore, Oklahoma on Thursday.
The Secret Service, which is tasked with protecting the U.S. president, senior officials and other figures, confirmed the meeting with Nugent.
"The Secret Service interview of Ted Nugent has been completed," agency spokesman Brian Leary said. "The issue has been resolved. The Secret Service does not anticipate any further action."

(17,505 posts)Of course not. He OBVIOUSLY meant he'd get cancer if the president was reelected which would kill him, or he'd rob a liquor store and that would land him in jail.
C'mon people! That makes perfect sense!

(30,404 posts)Help me understand --- Teddy Boy sat down and maybe had a beer with his Good Old Boys in the Secret Service.
And then --- the SS simply announced to the world that everything that Teddy Boy said was A OK with them????????
Please tell me that they wouldn't just brush it off and allow him to keep on doing what he is doing?
If that is where the issue stands ~ that speaks volumes that anyone can say/threaten our President and that is OK?

(3,574 posts)...we'll be hearing much from Ted for a while. A visit from SS is serious business, and he knows it. I confess to having loved the Amboy Dukes music, I never thought I'd live long enough to see him become such a hollow, gaping asshole.

At least he didn't hold up in his deer blind or take his family hostage and fight off 'them thar federal agents'! He is a coward that only kills naive animals. He doesn't have the guts to go into the military much less kill a human being. He doesn't have the guts or the power to say anything negative about his interrogators.

(285 posts)A Secret Service guy. They live in Silver Spring, MD. She says that they are a pretty scary bunch - and she said that they cannot talk a lot about their jobs. She is pretty much a spoiled princess, and I think that his job led somewhat to their seperation. She seems to think that the president is extremely well protected. I don't talk to her, as she is insufferable, but my mother relayed this to me.

See, he thinks he's a tough guy. This is what he thinks of himself- all buff and loaded with guns on top of guns. A real badass.
And this is the result. Beaten, humiliated, and begging for his life- or this case, staying out of the pokey.
