Congress sends Keystone bill to Obama, who plans to veto it

Source: Dallas News

WASHINGTON — Congress is sending President Barack Obama legislation to build the Keystone XL pipeline Tuesday, and a quick veto was expected.

The White House indicated Obama will veto the bill in private. It would be the third veto of Obama’s presidency.

Republicans may try to override Obama’s veto, but have yet to show they can muster the two-thirds majority in both chambers that would be needed.

FULL short story at link.

I think using the environment is a better and accurate reason. Those 38 jobs would change their lives which we all should want. Everyone with a good job. Environment is the reason to say no, not the jobs it brings.

it was a reason to deny it? Sorry you dont see the humor in the fact that GOP's main reason for it was the million of jobs it would produce and in fact only 38 jobs are involved..

One Job is good. It is the environment that would be destroyed.

but if you really think that the relationship of number of jobs to the possible Enviro dangers is not a factor in this decision making process then you don't have much of handle on how our Government really works.

And won't belittle the amount of jobs that are going to be lost. I know not many liberals in the United States at least not as caring as I am.
