Scott Walker likes to say that the recall election he survived three years ago, when national media descended on Madison to cover his showdown with Big Labor, prepared him for the rigors of a presidential campaign. But the Wisconsin governor is learning how wishful that may be.
......
After a barrage of recent criticism for not answering questions about foreign policy or evolution, and not speaking up after Rudy Giuliani accused President Barack Obama of not loving America, it was more of the same for Walker on Saturday.
During gaggles with reporters at the National Governors Association meeting in Washington, he was hounded by questions about whether he agrees with Giuliani.
Thats something that the president and the mayor will have to talk about. They certainly can comment on it themselves, Walker said, barely elaborating on his answer to the same question a day earlier: I dont really know.

(11,495 posts)Can't remember who said it, some republican, but he said they don't have to be "smart" all they have to do is sign the bills that republicans pass in congress, kind of like George, no brains, but he signed all the bills the republican congress sent him, and only found out about his veto pen when democrats were the ones sending him the bills.
Walker fits perfectly, not very smart, but will do whatever the Koch brothers tell him to do!

All we have to do is replace Obama... We are not auditioning for fearless leader. We don't need a president to tell us in what direction to go. We know what direction to go. We want the Ryan budget... We just need a president to sign this stuff. We don't need someone to think it up or design it. The leadership now for the modern conservative movement for the next 20 years will be coming out of the House and the Senate.
Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United States. This is a change for Republicans: the House and Senate doing the work with the president signing bills. His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation that has already been prepared.

None of the character, facts or words spoken of the new insane clown posse matter. In fact, they want someone who is easily bought and sold to act as a Robosigner.
Obama was definitely not their man, and they want him gone in the worst possible way, but it didn't happen. Everyone of the GOP governors and the GOP state and federal legislators get their orders directly from the Koch brothers at private meetings that are leaked sometimes.
It's no use running against the straw men that the GOP is going to run with. The only thing is stopping the Koch brothers and those who support them.

(4,858 posts)...I wouldn't underestimate his chances of reaching the White House. Bush II got there without saying anything about what he believed, answering any questions or moving out of the right-wing media-cultural bubble...and of course, the so-called "media" never called him to account, ever. They won't this time, either. Scotty can lie his way into the Oval Office with ease.

(34,661 posts)the Recall Elections of Wisconsin predicated on the Optics and Sound Bites that would or would not appear in any type of Media. Followed this one and was totally blown away by the amount of money that was spent on the Media by not only the Koch's,but by the Business Round Table and Chamber of Commerce Groups. Seems the Billionaires of Wisconsin stepped up to the plate and spent big time to make sure the rank and file would be put in their place. Walker is a loser,in saying that,it is all about selling a package,in that you see the results.

Can he survive the primary and win? That would never happen in a sane world as he's a totally selfish uneducated moron with no ideas other than all the money goes to the rich and the workers should be nothing more than happy slaves.

(10,168 posts)over and over again. He was short a minimum of 34 credits required to graduate from Marquette with ANY of the offered majors, not to mention his specific major. His G.P.A. was 2.59, at best.
So Walker was actually at the end of his Junior year at Marquette. The gossip around Wisconsin has always been that he was asked to leave because of cheating, which surprised no one. Marquette has denied this the past couple of years, for what that's worth.

(3,974 posts)He's been saying that a lot, lately, but all he really did back then was blindside state employees and teachers with Act 10 and hide out in the Capitol and Wauwatosa waiting for things to blow over. He's a bully who enjoyed seeing the pain and suffering he was causing. Good show!
First, the fact that there was a recall with 150,000 Wisconsinites protesting Walker in the cold and snow of February, 2011, is kind of a red flag. Not something to brag about, really. Second, Scott Walker has been campaigning non-stop since before he dropped out of college, and all he really did during the protests and recall was continue campaigning with his usual vague and dishonest talking points. It's not like he stood at the entranced to the Capitol fighting off protesters and holding press conferences. He generally hides from media unless he can rattle off talking point answers, unchallenged. And he hides from the public all the time- no public appearances as governor that I am aware of.
If the media keeps the pressure on by asking him questions he can't answer with prepared talking points, this could be interesting. If anyone ever deserved to get their comeuppance in front of a large audience, it's Scott Kevin Walker.

What issues? They don't care. Walker will appear above that stuff.
The liberals need to garner their resources and either move the gop to disengage
