W.Va. GOP Senate candidate John Raese Equates Smoking Ban To Hitler Policy

Source: Huffington Post

John Raese, running for U.S. Senate as a Republican in West Virginia, equated a county smoking ban with Hitler forcing Jews to wear the Star of David at a recent Republican event.

Speaking in Hurricane, W.Va., last Thursday at the Putnam County Lincoln Day Dinner, Raese turned to Monongalia County's recently enacted smoking ban as an example of government overreach.

"But in Monongalia County now, I have to put a huge sticker on my buildings to say this is a smoke-free environment. This is brought to you by the government of Monongalia County. Okay?" he said. "Remember Hitler used to put Star of David on everybody’s lapel, remember that? Same thing."

Later on in the video, Raese calls President Franklin D. Roosevelt "General Roosevelt" and "Fidel Roosevelt."

Why are Republicans so eager to insult those who suffered under Nazi Germany?

Here's Raese, in bad Indiana Jones get-up, campaigning in 2010 with Secessionist Sarah and fellow Nazi-Tourette's guy Ted Nugent:

I wonder what would happen if we pointed out all those other fine Nazi policies like, oh, banning abortion and breaking unions and criminalizing homosexuality and state-approved racism and patriotic warmongering and and and...

I'm not a fan of smoking bans either but the comparison is ridiculous.

On this day when we remember the millions killed by the Nazis and Hitler, this ass is comparing not being allowed to smoke to those atrocities. Each time one of these idiot tea baggers compares every minor thing to Nazis and Hitler they harm the memory of those killed and harmed.

Our Hitler here in Nebr. also banned smoking in bars and the like, of course he is a teapublican and blames dem's for all. He even asked the president to stop the keystone pipeline, so he(pres) did, now hes going around lying about it. He makes me want to puke!
