PASCO, Wash. (AP) Hundreds gathered in southeastern Washington on Saturday to protest police brutality in the wake of a deadly shooting of a man who had been throwing rocks at the police.
Before the midday rally, children and adults hand-lettered signs, calling for justice for Antonio Zambrano-Montes, who witnesses say was running away when police fired on him Tuesday in a busy intersection.
A large sign hanging over the bandstand at Volunteer Park said, "Stop Police Brutality: It was just a rock!!!" Hand-lettered signs said, "Use Your Training, Not Guns," and "Good Police We Respect You."
Speakers from the community called for a full review of the Pasco police department and its policies.

In 2014, not one person died from a police bullet!

As a matter of fact, if a police officer kills someone, it is seen as a failure of the institution.
From the Netherlands office of the Public Prosecutor:
"Forms of aggression and intimidation questions in society to appropriate enforcement action by police officers. Research on use of force by police officers with serious consequences should be carried out carefully and objectively. This is of great importance both for victims and survivors, as well as the police officers involved. Moreover, it is essential for the confidence of the society in a just and honest government police."
When I read that, I said to myself, "What am I still doing here?"

(22,497 posts)Regular people would not shoot a person who was throwing rocks so why are these cowards so afraid they have to shoot them?
Maybe we should stop calling it 'police brutality" because that makes them seem big. Lower them to the schoolyard bullies that they are.
Movies make "justice killers" sexy. These police are not sexy they are scared like little babies.
