Jeb Bushs money juggernaut is far eclipsing the efforts of his would-be rivals for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, putting his two political committees on pace to amass an unprecedented sum of tens of millions of dollars by early spring.
The former Florida governors overwhelming dominance in the race to line up financial backers has come at a speed that has impressed longtime Republican money players, who say wealthy party backers have rapidly migrated to Bush since 2012 nominee Mitt Romney decided against another White House run two weeks ago.
At one Manhattan fundraiser for Bush at the Park Avenue home of private-equity titan Henry Kravis this week, about 25 attendees paid a minimum of $100,000 each just to get in the door. Its one of six events for Bushs political action committees including one next weekend in Palm Beach with such a price tag.
I think they will come up with an eye-popping figure, said veteran GOP fundraiser Fred Malek.

I'm going to consider this "neutral" news. Yeah, Jeb sucks but are the morons he's competing against really any better? No matter who wins the GOP nomination, we're getting a turd sandwich.

Turd Sandwich or Giant Douche?
I think we'll need to change the song to 'Vote and then Die', not 'Vote or Die'.

And Hillary's campaign strategy will end up being, shame the left into voting for the corporate candidate that is a least backed by the party that has a history of populism.

(51,076 posts)I can just imagine how that conversation went. You notice that mittens quit talking about running, quit making the talking heads rounds trying to sound all pResidential and stuff. It won't make a hill of beans of difference which of these two cretins get there as long as one of them do and big head jeb has the momentum going forward, right now. He stumble and queen ann will be all over 'he's really not a stiffy' to do something though. remember when she said something to the effect that mitt comes across as stiff but when he's home where it matters he really isn't, some shit like that anyway

Of course, you might be pretending to aim at Bush and "accidentally" hit Clinton who is related to someone with a checkered past....
So why not retrieve the discussion from the mud and concentrate what the presumptive candidates did themselves?
