FBI Launches Probe into Killing of Muslim Students in North Carolina

RALEIGH, North Carolina // The FBI has said it is launching an inquiry parallel to a police homicide investigation into the killings of three young Muslims allegedly by a neighbour.

The announcement came hours before Muslim groups said they planed to take their demand for a federal hate-crime investigation to the White House on Friday.

The groups said on social media that they would hold prayers in front of the building.

Craig Stephen Hicks, 46, is charged with first-degree murder for the student killings. Police say he shot 23-year-old Deah Shaddy Barakat, his 21-year-old wife, Yusor Mohammad Abu-Salha, and her sister, 19-year-old Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha, over a long-standing parking dispute in the apartment complex where he and the newlywed couple both lived.

But the families of the victims have said they were gunned down because of their religion.

“This has hate crime written all over it,” the womens’ father, Mohammad Yousif Abu-Salha said.

This indeed has hate crime - by an armed triple cold blooded murderer - against Muslims written all over.

Feel free to park your doubts in a collateral evidence visitor parking spot.

And the triple execution was NOT anything to do with a "long standing parking dispute" - collateral evidence irrelevant to motive - just look at the picture of these beautiful children and their backgrounds and the timelines of how they stumbled into Hick's xenophobia, and then look at the pictures and background of triple Killer Hicks.....really?

And now a school being firebombed and a student in Texas threatened with a gun for no apparent reason....there is probable cause to explore the real possibility of a hate crime, who can deny at least that?

The FBI apparently agrees with this rapid parallel hate crime investigation, those guys do not fool around.

1. I can save you the cost of that investigation.

The root cause is gun culture.

Go to any gun show. Anti-muslim bumper stickers, pro-nazi booklets.

2. What about mass media culture? The Muslim fear-mongering is being aided and abetted by the media.

Dental student, soon in dental school bride, a architecture student sister of the bride...I prefer to believe the words of those left behind who knew and loved them, not the freaky Internet postings of the triple killer and the triple killers wife.

And certainly not the deflections of the media who still cling to parking spots and disputes to explain away the mass murder of Muslims in America even as they play up the military might of ISIL and play up the victories of their enemies.

The costs of the investigation are irrelevant, recognizing and confronting all the hate in America is the issue.

According to WRAL, the father, Dr. Mohammed Abu-Salha said his older daughter told him several times she was scared by her neighbor who came to the door more than once with a gun in his waistband.

He also told WRAL, "We raised them in our faith. We raised them to love their country and their people, and everybody's heart is broken. Everybody. All walks of life. The whole city did not sleep last night."

He also said he couldn't imagine how a parking dispute could have led to their killings.

Deah Bakarat, the dental student, was married to Dr. Abu-Salha's daughter in mid Christmas.

She moved into her new husbands apartment, he had lived there alone before. Hicks and Bakarst had no "disputes" before his hijab wearing wife moved in. Her sister visited as did Muslim friends.

Then the harassment began of anyone connected to Bakarat.

Then came the killing of three Muslims.

It was not "long standing". It was not a "dispute" over anything, it was terrorism by Hicks, one way harassment.

Deflection to blaming the gun so as to ignore the hate crime obviously clear enough for the FBI to waste it's time investigating.
