Brooklyn borough prez puts out feelers for mayoral run

The next mayoral election isn’t until 2017, but one of his supposed allies is already making moves for a possible challenge, according to sources.

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams is sounding out potential supporters about taking on de Blasio in the 2017 Democratic primary, the sources said.

“He has been speaking to some people about it, particularly in the Orthodox Jewish community,” said one source.

The former NYPD captain and state senator has stressed in Brooklyn political circles that as an African-American he could pull minority votes from de Blasio while his police background would draw white voters.
