The Republicon "strategy" is rather simple.

Cut off revenues to the government by cutting taxes for the wealthy.

Then, create huge deficits where no more money can be spent on social programs for the people.

Then, cut the existing social programs because we can no longer afford them.

Eventually, piece by piece, destroy the entire New Deal and Great Society programs of FDR and LBJ and return the country to the good old days of hunger and depression.

3. Democrats should run on "true tax reform"...

in my opinion.

And they should cut military spending on new weapons and they should raise the top tax rate to 47%. How many billions of dollars does one person need?

They should run on a program to fund new roads, schools, education, infrastructure, and healthcare for our people.

Democrats need to show much more courage than they have shown in the recent past.
