Yet we can't get an honest clear answer as to how many.
The GOP (especially Governor Walker) brags about "13,000 new jobs," while economists say the actual number of jobs could be less than 1,000.
Add this to all the tax goodies Walker and his cronies want to give Foxconn.

Similarly, Georgia is offering a ton of money for an Amazon facility. And almost every state is doing something similar. That's just the way things go nowadays.
I suppose Wisconsin or Georgia could just say 'No," and let it go to all the states waiting in line.

Foxconn has a reputation for making promises and then leaving.
And how many of those jobs will go the "Carrier" route?
Big promises by politicians for the jobs to stay but they end up going to Mexico anyway?

(54,770 posts)it's finished in several years. Personally, I think it is good to see China building flat panel TVs here. I bet there are plenty of people ready to stand in line for one of those jobs -- whether it's 1,000 or 10,000 -- and there are plenty of states that will welcome them.

(100,097 posts)I have never really dealt with them personally, but where I work is not too far from EVGA's headquarters and they deal with them. I have heard from people who work for EVGA that they are not a good company to deal with.
