Barack Obama plays Santa and delivers presents to delighted kids in Washington, D.C.

Former President Barack Obama surprised a group of kids at a Boys and Girls Club when he showed up to deliver presents to the excited children, and he did it all while wearing a Santa hat.

Obama visited the Washington, D.C. organization Thursday to deliver presents and meet with approximately 50 children to deliver holiday cheer.

The children greeted the former president with handshakes and cheers as he walked in with a big sack of toys slung over his shoulder.

“There’s no better time than the holiday season to reach out and give back to our communities,” Obama wrote on Twitter with a photo of the visit. “Great to hear from young people at the Boys & Girls Club in DC today.”
