RealClearPolitics Aggregate Approval Polls: Trump Lowest Ever Today at 37.1%
I follow lots of polling since I used to work in statistical research and methods. The aggregation of polls is always the best way to look at them overall. The two aggregates I always look at are RealClearPolitics and 538 Nate Silver polls.
As of today, 12/17, Trump has hit his lowest ever in the RealClearPolitics aggregate. 37.1% approval. He's tied at worst disapproval at 58.1%. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_trump_job_approval-6179.html
As for 538, Nate uses more polls in his aggregate. Approval is also at the lowest at 36.4% with a disapproval tied for a high of 57.5%. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/
Think about this also...the economy. The stocks are good, unemployment is low. Imagine if that turns around? I don't think this tax cut will show anything or help in approval numbers except maybe a slight temporary uptick.
So how long will the Republicans hold on to dear leader Trump? That will be the question. Once we hit January first, if this tax cut piece of shit is passed, I think you may start to see some defections heading into the 2018 races.
